In 1946, our community came together with a shared vision: to create opportunities for children, strengthen families, and build a brighter future through education. From humble beginnings, our school district became a cornerstone of the community, shaping generations of learners, leaders, athletes, artists, and citizens. In 2004, that chapter changed as our district consolidated with the Mountain View District. While the name and structure evolved, the spirit of our schools never disappeared. The pride, traditions, relationships, and commitment to student success remained alive in the hearts of our families, alumni, educators, and community members. Today, we are honored to begin a remarkable new chapter.

In 2026, our district proudly returns as its own independent school district once again.

     This moment is more than a reopening. It is more than a transition. It is a celebration of both our future and our past—a rare occasion where we can honor 80 years of history while embracing a new beginning. For eight decades, our story has been written by dedicated teachers who inspired curiosity, coaches who built character, staff members who served with compassion, parents who supported every step, and students who dreamed big. Their contributions created a legacy that continues to guide us today. As we return as our own district, we do so with deep respect for that legacy and great excitement for what lies ahead. We are building on a foundation established in 1946 while preparing students for the opportunities of the 21st century.
